Loading Summer: ||||||||||_| 90% Complete

Shamelessly stolen from a friend, the title fairly accurate summarizes my feelings right about now at this time of year. We’re all done with classes and all there is between me and the summer are two finals, one of which I’ve already started and am about 30% done with. I’m now just packing up everything I can’t take with me back to Virginia (I’m taking the train!) so I can shove it into storage tomorrow afternoon. This’ll be slightly annoying, as what I’m leaving up here includes all my bedding and related materials…I can manage it though – it still has nothing on sleeping on the ground in the Grand Canon :)

In three days I’ll be on my way back to NoVA, and soon after that I’ll be starting up my summer coop work in Springfield! This summer should prove to be interesting at the very least, but hopefully mostly a learning experience. I definitely want to try and delve into PERL so I have some experience between BASH and Java, and I’m hopefully going to learn how to use and manage a whole bunch of server-side items: UFW, JumpStart/AI servers, DNSSEC, Puppet, Ganeti, etc. The list is fairly lengthy, so that and work should keep me busy.

Onward we go! Lets have a great finish to the academic year and a wonderful summer.
